What is DNS

Think of DNS as the phonebook of the internet. When you type a website like servit.co.il, your computer doesn’t actually understand that name.
It asks a DNS server: “Where should I go?” The DNS translates that name into a series of numbers (an IP address), which tells your browser where to connect.

Why it matters

Most of the time, you’re using your internet provider’s DNS—and it works fine. But sometimes:

A website won’t load even though it works for others
